1. Website Access and Terms

You are welcome to access certain areas of the AfroEat Website without placing an order or registering your details. The majority of the Website is accessible to all visitors.

1.2 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing any part of the AfroEat Website, you agree to these Website Terms. If you do not agree, please exit immediately.

1.3 Revision of Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The version in force when you interact with us applies.

1.4 Your Responsibility

Ensure all users on your connection are aware of these Terms and comply with them.

1.5 Accuracy of Information

Information you provide must be true, accurate, and up-to-date. Notify us of changes promptly.

2. Your Status

2.1 Capacity and Age

You warrant that you are legally capable of entering binding contracts and are at least 18 years old.

2.2 Allergies and Intolerances

Contact Vendors directly for allergen & ingredient info before ordering.

2.3 Age Restricted Items

  • It’s an offence for underage persons to purchase or attempt to purchase such items.
  • Proof of age may be required; refusal may occur if requirements aren’t met.
  • Refusal may also occur if you appear under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

3. How to Make an Order and How It Is Processed

3.1 Compiling Your Order

Review and correct your order before submitting. Once submitted, changes may not be possible.

3.2 Amending or Cancelling

After submission and payment authorisation, changes or cancellations are uncommon. Contact the Business or AfroEat Support; we’ll try to help.

3.3 Payment Authorisation

If payment isn’t authorised, your order won’t be processed.

3.4 Processing & Rejections

We forward orders to Businesses. If a Business rejects your order, we’ll notify you and handle any refund as applicable.

4. Price and Payment

4.1 VAT & Additional Costs

Prices may exclude delivery/service charges. These are shown before you pay.

4.2 Incorrect Pricing

If a listing is incorrect, neither AfroEat nor the Business is obliged to honour it.

4.3 Payment Methods

Pay by accepted card via the website, or cash on collection/delivery as allowed.

4.4 Card Payments

You may need to present the card on delivery/collection. Processing delays can occur.

4.5 Vouchers

Vouchers may apply per voucher terms. Your bank may temporarily ring-fence the full amount before discounts settle.

4.6 Rejected Orders

If an order is rejected/cancelled after card payment, your bank releases the funds (typically 3–5 working days).

5. Customer Care

Our team can assist with issues like delays. For product quality or service concerns, contact us within 24 hours for faster resolution with the Vendor.

6. Licence

Use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. No scraping or misuse. Rights not expressly granted are reserved by AfroEat.

7. Website Access (General)

We aim for 24/7 availability but don’t guarantee it. Internet transmission isn’t fully secure; use at your own risk.

8. Visitor Material & Reviews

Non-PII material you submit may be treated as non-confidential. Do not post unlawful or infringing content. We may remove content that breaches policies.

Third-party links are provided for convenience; we’re not responsible for their content or availability.

10. Disclaimers

While we strive for accuracy, information may not be complete or current. For allergy concerns, contact the Vendor directly.

11. Liability

Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud. Subject to that, we’re not liable for indirect losses. Our aggregate liability is limited as permitted by law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate use for policy breaches or misuse. On termination, stop using the site and destroy downloaded copies.

13. Written Communications

By using the Website, you agree to electronic communications (email or on-site notices) where permitted by law.

14. Events Outside Our Control

Obligations may be suspended during events beyond our control (e.g., industrial action, civil unrest, natural disasters).

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

English law applies. Proceedings may be brought in England, or in your local courts if you reside outside England. Your consumer rights remain unaffected.
